Professional History
Ms. Andrews is originally from Charlotte County and graduated from Randolph-Henry High School in Charlotte Court House, Virginia in 1977. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College (now known as Randolph College) in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she graduated with a B.A. in Politics in 1981. As part of her undergraduate studies, she spent her junior year abroad at Reading University in the United Kingdom.
Ms. Andrews obtained her law degree at the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1985. After being admitted to the Virginia State Bar later that year, she spent the first thirty-two years of her career as a lawyer in Richmond and the Tri-Cities area. She has now returned home to Southside Virginia and began practicing with Hawthorne & Hawthorne in June of 2017.
Ms. Andrews is also licensed to appear before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Community Involvement and Personal Interests
Ms. Andrews is a member of the Keysville Ruritan Club. She is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Hospital Hospitality House (now known as The Doorways) near MCV in Richmond, Virginia. She is a member and former deacon at River Road Church, Baptist in Richmond, Virginia.
In her spare time, you might find Ms. Andrews playing piano, drawing, or painting with watercolors. She is an avid reader and enjoys visiting wineries, museums, and art galleries. She loves animals, especially dogs and cats.
